Description

The carraspique or candytuft , is a species of plant of flowers belonging to the family of the Brassicaceae . It is native to southern and central Europe and North Africa in Algeria where it grows along roadsides and fields, especially in calcareous areas. It is an herbaceous plant that reaches 1-4 dm in height; Very branched and bitter. The leaves are oblong or lanceolate, spatulate and sharp with 2-4 teeth on each side. The flowers are white or lilac and are grouped in an elongated lax corset . The fruit is a round silicon.
