Description

Discocactus tentneri grows individually, with dull green, spherical to flattened globular bodies reaching heights of growth of up to 7 centimeters and a diameter of up to 10 centimeters. The 12 to 20 ribs are slightly humped and up to 10 millimeters high. The areoles are slightly sunk into the ribs. The strong, white to yellowish thornsare darker at the top and become light brown to whitish. They are bent downwards and interwoven so tightly that they cover the plant body.
