Description

Cyamea pohaku was a branched tree that reached a height of 7 meters. The fleshy, invertebrate leaves were 16 to 30 centimeters long. The top of the leaf was dark green, the leaf bottom bright green. The middle rib was thick. The leaf veins were crushed and transparent. The upper edge of the leaf was notched, the lower margin was full. The hanging inflorescence was almost one meter long. Each inflorescence bore four to eight gently curved greenish white flowers, which were up to 45 mm long. The fruits are unknown.
