Description

Silene littorea is a species of the family of the caryophyllaceae . Psammophilous plant with small cushion bearing leaves and flowers, the first pubescent and slimy, the second pink. The stems are contoured and also have glandular hairs and are, like leaves, somewhat fleshy. Calyx almost 2 cm, and have alternating bands of hyaline and brown, noticing well its patent hairiness. The corolla with petals emarginados and well arranged around the central white ring.
