Description

Convolvulus boissieri Steud. it is a species of the convolvulaceae family. It is a stem plantcreeping slightly woody, forming clumps of about twelve inches. Perennial plant, silvery-silky, with profusely branched woody base. Stems 2-10 cm, ascending or erect, sparsely branched, with appressed clothing. Leaves are (5-) 10-15 (-30) mm, with oblanceolate or elliptical limbus, gradually attenuated. Uniflower tops, terminal or axillary, with 1-3 mm peduncles, much shorter than the leaves. Bracteoles shorter than the calyx, lincares. Sitting flowers. Sepals 8-10 mm, more or less unequal, long acuminate, with setaceous acumen; the external linear-lanceolate; the internal ones from broadly ovate to suborbicular. Corolla 15-23 mm, 2 times longer than the calyx, pinkish-white. Capsule 5 mm, hairy. Seeds of 0.3 x 2 mm, brown. It blooms and bears fruit from July or August. Originating in the mountains of southern Spain it develops in limestone and boulders.
