Description

The alpine pampajarito ( Sedum Alpine ) is a species of the family of the CrassulaceaeIt is a perennial or perennial glabrous, greenish plant. Main root ± developed, in addition to numerous fine roots. Stems up to 10 cm, erect, branched 1-2 times; numerous sterile shoots. Leaves 4-5.5 mm long, oblong-elliptical to ovate, obtuse, sub-circular in section, with a short spur, greenish to reddish. Inflorescence in terminal tops, short, dense, formed by 1-2 branches with 3-5 flowers each. Pentamer flowers. Sepals 2-3 mm, welded at the base, oblong or oval, obtuse or rounded at the apex, greenish. Petals 3.5-4 mm, up to 1.5 times longer than sepals, free, oblong-lanceolate, subacute, weakly yellow, frequently spotted with reddish lines. Stamens 10; yellow anthers. Folliclespatents in star, with two lateral wings, of dark red color. Apiculated seeds, with reticulated testa, sometimes with short papillae, of a dark brown color. It has a chromosome number of 2n = 16
