Dichapetalum oleifolium is a two-hearted plant species first described by John Gilbert Baker , and became known as Descoings. Dichapetalum oleifolium is part of the Dichapetalum genus and the Dichapetalaceae family. The plants are tropical lianas native to warmer regions of Africa, Asia, Malesia, the West Indies, Australia and Latin America.
