Description

“Pet poisonous” – Toxic parts: leaves, stem, flowers Euphorbia segetalis L. , is a species of phanerogama belonging to the family of Euphorbiaceae. It is a plant herbaceous or woody at the base, annual or perennial , with leaves linear-lanceolate green. It grows only to a height of between 10 and 40 cm being one of the smallest milktrees. The stem is glabrous and straight. The leaves have an oval shape and are long and narrow. The inflorescence has many leaves with very broad bracts. The bracts are deltoid, rhombic-deltoid or semicircular. The nectaries have corniculated appendages and the cocas are granular in the keels, with reticulated seeds . The fruits are a smooth capsule and the seeds are transversely grooved.
