Description

Subshrub to 60 cm high, stems erect or spreading, densely pubescent. Leaves spreading, linear to oblong, 3–7 mm long, c. 1 mm wide, margins flat, midrib prominent, surfaces often salt-encrusted, upper surface minutely pubescent and punctate, lower surface pubescent; sessile. Flowers solitary or in short dichasia; bracts and bracteoles similar to leaves or larger. Calyx 4–8 mm long, minutely pubescent, ribs ± glabrous, grooves often gland-dotted. Petals to 9 mm long. Stamens 6 or 7. Seeds deeply wrinkled.
