Mermaidweed

Description

This plant marsh shows leaves decussate opposite along a thin rod of 3 mm , which can assume colorature (from light green to dark red) and different forms according to the conditions of cultivation. The stem, in the form emerged, loses flexibility and becomes creeping and woody, developing a rhizome . In optimum conditions this plant can reach a length of 80 cm .
