“Pet poisonous” – Toxic parts: entire plant The Olivier crocus ( Crocus olivieri ) is a species of the genus of crocuses ( Crocus ). The Olivier Crocus is a perennial tuber- geophyte that reaches stature heights of 5 to 10 centimeters. The tuber has no long neck of dead leaves. The 1 to 4 (rarely 5) leaves are 2 to 5 (rarely 1.5 to 7) millimeters wide, mostly fluffy hairy and rather spread than upright. The two bracts are about the same size. The flowers are bright orange yellow colored, sometimes they are pale yellow. The Perigonzipfel measure 15 to 35 × 4 to 12 millimeters. The scar has 6 to 15 branches. The flowering period is from February to April. The number of chromosomes is 2n = 6.
