Description

Malva hispanica is a species of herbaceous plant of the genus Malva , within the family Malvaceae , is native to the Mediterranean basinand Africa . It is a small herbaceous plant that differs from Malva aegyptia L. and Malva trifida Cav. , for its leaves ovate-suborbicular, whole or slightly lobed, the flowers are all axillary and solitary, and mericarps glabrous, with the back convex. The plant is distributed by the North of Africa and good part of the Iberian Peninsula , being very rare in the north and more frequent in the southwest of the territory. It inhabits cultivated areas. This plant prefers warm areas of low altitude, up to 180 meters . It has a biological form: escaped therophyte.
