Description

Arillastrum gummiferum is a large, evergreen tree with a spreading crown; it can grow up to 35 metres tall. The bole can be up to .8 metres in diameter. The tree yields a valuable timber that is often utilised in New Caledonia. The tree is also the source of tannins and a gum.
