Description

Eucalyptus celastroides also known as by the Noongar name of mirret or mired, is a eucalypt that is native to Western Australia. The mallee typically grows to a height of 2 to 8 metres (7 to 26 ft) but can reach to 12 metres (39 ft). It has bark that is rough and flaky on the trunk but is white and smooth elsewhere. It blooms between August and January and produces white flowers. Often found on flat or undulating country it grows in sandy or clayey soils. Distributed throughout the Wheatbelt region it also extends in the south west of the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia.
