Description

Eucalyptus xanthonema, commonly known as yellow-flowered mallee, is a mallee that is native to the south west of Western Australia. The mallee typically grows to a height of height of 1 to 5 metres (3 to 16 ft) and has smooth bark. It blooms between September and February producing inflorescences with white-cream coloured flowers. It is found on lateritic rises in the southern Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions of Western Australia in an area between Albany, Narrogin and Jerramungup where it grows in sandy loam soils.
