Description

Eugenia guatemalensis is a species of plant belonging to the Myrtaceae family .They are trees or shrubs, which reaches a size of 3-8 m tall; twigs covered with numerous tiny trichomes , pale or almost silvery. Leaves elliptic or elliptic-ovate, 7-11 (-15) cm long and 2.6-4.8 (-6) cm wide, apex long acuminate or acuminate, base acute, glabrescent on the upper surface, finely covered by numerous pale trichomes or almost silver on the underside. Clusters 1.5-2.5 cm long, flowers 4-8, pedicels 5-9 mm long, densely covered by brownish-yellow or pale brown trichomes, bractéolas free, brown-pubescent; hipanto conical, ridge in the anthesis, pubescent; calyx wolves rounded, 1.5-3 mm long, reddish-pubescent. Oblong fruits, 15-20 mm long, ribbed.
