(Kunzea newbeyi)
Kunzea newbeyi is a flowering plant in the myrtle family,Myrtaceae and is endemic to a small area along the south coast of Western Australia.The robust shrub typically grows to a height of 0.6 to 2.3 metres (2 to 8 ft).It blooms between October and November producing pink flowers.Often found on breakaway areas in a small area along the southern coast in the Great Southern the Fitzgerald River National Park.The species was first formally described by Helmut Toelken in 1996 in the article A revision of the genus Kunzea (Myrtaceae) in the Journal of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.
