Description

Myrcia deflexa is an evergreen shrub or tree with a spreading crown; it usually grows from 3 - 12 metres tall. The bole can be 15cm in diameter, The tree is harvested from the wild for local use of its wood. Plants can flower and produce fruit nearly throughout the year, The heartwood is reddish; the sapwood whitish. The wood is hard, heavy, and strong. It is used in construction, carpentry, and vehicles, and is made into stakes, posts, and handles
