(Epilobium tasmanicum)
forming mats 15cm in diameter or more. Stems prostrate with ascending tips. Leaves fairly crowded, oblong-ovate to somewhat obovate, 6-10mm long, remotely glandular-toothed, thick textured and glossy. Flowers pink or white, 5-10mm in diameter, one to three from the stem tips. Tasmania, Victoria and New Zealand (South Island only), montane to subalpine grassland, herb and fellfield in moist places.
