Description

Campylocentrum crassirhizum is a species of epiphytic orchid native to South America. It is an orchid with epiphytic habits, monopodial with an elongated stem, whose inflorescences grow from the opposite node to the base of the leaf stem. The flowers have free sepals and petals, and a nectary on the back of the lip. It belongs to the Campylocentrum species section with flat leaves of smooth ovary with long nectary compared to the thickness. Campylocentrum crassirhizum was described by Frederico Carlos Hoehne and published in Arquivos de Botânica do Estado de São Paulo 1: 44. 1939. It is located in Brazil.
