Description

Ceratocentron is a monotypic genus with a single species of epiphytic orchids. Ceratocentron fesselii Senghas, is originally from the Philippines. It is a small orchid species that prefers warm weather, it is monopodial epiphyte. The leaves are very leathery, obtuse dark green, elliptical, are found wrapping the stem. It flowers in an axillary inflorescence, erect, short, with 2 to 4 flowers of 1 to 4 cm in length, often having more than one inflorescence. Flowering occurs in winter.
