Description

Antirrhinum molle is a plant from the genus of snapdragons ( Antirrhinum ) in the family of plantain plants (Plantaginaceae). Antirrhinum molle is a dwarf shrub whose down to ascending stems reach lengths of up to 40 cm. Stems, leaves and pedicels are glandular fluffy to woolly hairy, calyx , crown and the fruits are glandular-fluffy hairy. The downy opposite and above alternate leaves are 8 to 22 mm long and 5 to 20 mm wide, wide ovate to elliptic. The petioles are 2 to 6 mm long. The bracts are similar to the leaves. The flower stalks are 3 to 20 mm long. The sepals are 5 to 8 mm long, lanceolate and pointed. The crown is 25 to 35 mm long, white or pale pink colored and provided with a yellow palate. The fruits are almost spherical capsules with a diameter of 7 to 8 mm. The chromosome number is 2n = 16.
