“Pet poisonous” – Toxic parts: leaves Digitalis mariana subsp. heywoodii is a subspecies of plant with flower belonging to the family Scrophulariaceae . The scientific authority of the subspecies is ( P.Silva & M.Silva ) Hinz , having been published in Candollea 44: 168. 1989. It is a subspecies present in Portuguese territory, namely in Continental Portugal . In terms of naturalness it is endemic to the aforementioned region. It is not protected by Portuguese or European Community legislation.
