Description

Kickxia commutata is a possible native species in the islands, where it is represented by the ssp. graeca (Bory & Chaub.) R. Fern. , which differs from the rest of the species of the genus, for being a perennial herbaceous plant, with stems very ramified from the base, prostrate or ascending, with inferior ovate leaves and superiors until or sagittate. The floral pedicels are glabrous and the flowers have a whitish corolla, with violet upper lip and whitish palate, with violet spots; They also have a very curved spur. It is known as " picopajarito balc�nico ".
