Description

Small plant with erect stems bluish-green, 10-15 cm, leaves of the same color, lanceolate; the inferior ones appearing several of the same point and the superior superiors, almost taken along longitudinally to the stem. Spring flowers solitary or in small groups at the end of the stem; they have a two-lip corolla the long, narrow upper, amethyst blue, and the lower one bulging, almost white and blue-stained, and a long amethyst-like spur down. Together, the flowers form almost a quarter of the plant's growth.
