Description

Cymbopogon flexuosus also called Cochin Grass or Malabar Grass. (inchippullu) is a perennial grass native to India, Sri Lanka, Burma, and Thailand. It is placed in the genus Cymbopogon (lemon grasses). Lemongrass essential oil is produced by steam distillation of the freshly cut leaves,or can be extracted using alcohol. It is believed to help with stress-related disorders, and has been shown to have antifungal and antimicrobial properties.Cymbopogon flexuosus completely inhibits all MRSA colony growth.
