Gilia tweedyi is a bl-gullsv-xtart described by Per Axel Rydberg . Gilia tweedyi included in the genus gilior and family polemoniaceae. A sporadic annual here flowering following a very dry fall, winter, and spring in shrub-steppe community dominated by Artemisia pedafida. The cobwebby hairs are diagnostic of this species. No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life .
