Common milkwort

Description

Plant with stems up to 45 cm,ascending.Green branches.Leaves alternate,lanceolate,from 8 to 32 mm.Flowers pediceladas in terminal clusters;calyx with 5 sepals,2 large and petal- like;corolla violet or yellowish,7 to 10 mm,with 3 petals welded at its base to form a tube,the lower with the apex divided into short teeth;8 stamens with filaments partially joined together;pistil with 2 stigmas.Dry fruit,capsule type.It blooms in winter,spring and summer.
