Description

Helicia blakei, also named Blake's silky oak, is a species of rainforest trees, of north–eastern Queensland, Australia, and constitutes part of the flowering plant family Proteaceae. Botanists know of them growing naturally only (endemic) from a few collections in the rainforests of the Wet Tropics region, from about 160 to 1,250 m (520 to 4,100 ft) altitude. They have been recorded growing up to about 10 m (33 ft) tall.
