(Helleborus vesicarius)
Helleborus vesicarius is a species of flowering plant in the Hellebore genus ( Helleborus ). The stem is bare and reaches a length of up to 60 centimeters or more. The lower leaves are stalked. Their outer sections are lanceolate to narrowly elliptical and toothed at the top. The stem leaves are similar in shape, but usually smaller. They are often sessile or nearly sessile; if they are stalked, the leaf blade is decurrent. The bracts are similar to the upper leaves. The sepals are 16 to 18 millimeters in size and green to greenish yellow. The follicles are 50 to 70 × 25 to 32 millimeters in size, flattened and fused together in the middle. The 3 to 6 seeds are 5 to 6 millimeters in size. The chromosome number is 2n = 32.The species is an East Mediterranean floral element. It occurs in Mesopotamia and in Amanus.
