Description

Zieria smithii is a shrub which grows to a height of 1–2 m (3–7 ft) and is sometimes robust or at other times spindly. Its leaves are composed of three leaflets with the middle leaflet oblong to lance-shaped 20–45 mm (0.8–2 in) long, and 4–7 mm (0.2–0.3 in) wide with a pointed tip. The upper surface of the leaflets is a darker green than the lower side, dotted with oil glands and mostly glabrous. The leaf stalk is 10–20 mm (0.4–0.8 in) long and the leaves are strongly aromatic when crushed.
