Description

Salix pellita is a shrub up to 2 to 3 m tall. Its branches are reddish and bear leaves 10 to 15 mm wide, covered with glossy pubescence, silky, velvety, on both sides, or completely hairless above. The capsule is densely hairy. Flowering is springtime. The species grows along cold water streams in Canada
