Description

Madhuca barbata is a plant in the Sapotaceae family. It grows as a small tree. Inflorescences bear up to 12 flowers. The specific epithet barbata is from the Latin meaning "bearded", referring to the sepals. Its habitat is lowland forests. M. barbata is endemic to Borneo where it is confined to Sarawak.
