Description

Madhuca kingiana is a plant in the Sapotaceae family. It grows as a tree up to 20 metres (70 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 20 centimetres (8 in). The bark is greyish brown. Inflorescences bear up to six flowers. The tree is named for the botanist George King. Habitat is lowland mixed dipterocarp forest from sea-level to 150 metres (500 ft) altitude. M. kingiana is found in Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo.
