Description

Madhuca spectabilis is a tree in the Sapotaceae family. It grows up to 26 metres (85 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 40 centimetres (16 in). Inflorescences bear eight or more flowers.The specific epithet spectabilis is from the Latin meaning "spectacular", referring to the tree's appearance. Its habitat is lowland mixed dipterocarp forest from sea-level to 200 metres (660 ft) altitude. M. spectabilis is endemic to Borneo.
