Description

Micropholis guyanensis , tushmo, quina quina , is a species of flowering plant in the family Sapotaceae . It is endemic to Costa Rica , Panama , Antigua and Barbuda , Dominica , Grenada , Guadeloupe , Martinique , Puerto Rico , Saint Lucia , Saint Vincent and the Grenadines , Trinidad and Tobago ; Guyana , Suriname , Venezuela , Bolivia , Colombia , Ecuador , Peru , Brazil and French Guiana . Lact-fero tree , up to 35 m high, angular stem, thin, irregular buttresses; Pale bark; Young leaves gray silver, or chestnut golden with pilosity, with many ribs closely parallel, mainly smaller to 1 dm of length, abruptly tuned towards the tip mocha. Flowers 3-5 together; [Corolla up to 4 mm long. Edible fruit , ovoid, 2-5 cm long, unisembled.
