Description

Palaquium ferrugineum is a tree in the family Sapotaceae. The twigs are reddish brown tomentose. Inflorescences bear up to six flowers. The specific epithet ferrugineum is from the Latin meaning "rusty coloured", referring to the indumentum. Its habitat is mixed dipterocarp forests. P. ferrugineum is endemic to Borneo and known only from Sarawak.
