Description

Palaquium rigidum is a tree in the family Sapotaceae. It grows up to 25 metres (80 ft) tall. The bark is reddish grey. Inflorescences bear up to four flowers. The fruits are round, up to 10 cm (4 in) in diameter. The specific epithet rigidum is from the Latin meaning "rigid", referring to the leaves. Its habitat is lowland mixed dipterocarp forests. P. rigidum is endemic to Borneo and confined to Sarawak.
