Description

“Pet poisonous” – Toxic parts: leaves, shoots Lycium macrodon is a 1 to 3 m high, rigidly branched shrub , which is armed with spines . Its foliage leaves are glabrous or hairy. Their length is 5 to 30 mm, the width is 2 to 5 mm. The flowers are hermetic and five-fold, they are hanging and occur singly or in pairs. The calyx is bell-shaped and finely glandular. The calyx is 4 to 9 mm long, the calyx is 1.5 to 2 times as long as the calyx. The crown is greenish white to pale violet. The crown-tube is 5 to 12 mm long, the crown-lobes have a length of 2 to 5 mm. The stamens are hairless to sparse hairy, at the base they are filly hairy in a range up to 4 mm. The fruit is a yellowish to brownish berry , with a constriction , which is divided into two chambers and reaches a length of 6 to 10 mm. Each chamber contains one or two seeds .
