Description

The plant is prostrate or 1.5 metres (4 ft 11 in) high. The leaves of the species are narrow or oblanceolate, 2–7 millimetres (0.079–0.276 in), and may be up to 30 millimetres (1.2 in) long. Up to 60 white flowers form brachteate heads on glabrous peduncles, bracts are 4 or 8. It was first published in 1793 by James Edward Smith, in his A Specimen of the Botany of New Holland.
