Amblystegium subulatum

(Amblystegium subulatum)

galery

Description

The plants of the genus grow with irregularly branched stems in delicate to moderately robust lawns. The leaves are only 0.5 to 1.5 mm long and lanceolate to basically heart-shaped / egg-shaped. A leaf rib always exists and extends at least to the anterior half of the leaf, often even to the tip of the leaf. The cells of the leaf blade are stretched and two to six times as long as wide. The leaf wing cells are not particularly differentiated. The cylindrical capsule is slightly curved. Clearly below the capsule opening is a narrowest point.
