Camptothecium

Description

Camptothecium is a genus of hepatic bryophytes of the family Brachytheciaceae . It comprises 25 species described and of these, only 20 accepted. The genus was described by Guillaume Philippe Schimper and published in Bryologia Europaea 6: 31 (fasc 52-54, Mon. 1). 1853. The type species is: Camptothecium lutescens (Hedw.) Schimp.
