Description

The small or very small plants form dense, shining lawns. The stems are subterranean to upright and irregularly or regularly branched, the leaves straight or crescent, broadly ovate to lanceolate, dull to long pointed, whole-margined or pointed at the tip. Laminar cells are rhombic, smooth or papillous at the upper end of the cell, leaf leaf cells are not distinguished from other leaf cells. The leaf rib is simple or bifurcated, short or reaching to the tip of the leaf.
