Picea likiangensis

Description

Picea likiangensis, the spruce of Likiang, is a species of conifer belonging to the family Pinaceae . They are found in Bhutan and China . It is a tree that reaches 50 meters high and its trunk 25 dm in diameter. The sheets are linear 6 - 15 mm long by 1-1.5 mm wide. The seeds in cylindrical pineapples 4-12 cm long and 2-3.5 cm wide. Picea likiangensis was described by ( Franch. ) E. Pritz. and published in Botanische Jahrbücher für Systematik, Pflanzengeschichte und Pflanzengeographie 29 (2): 217, in obs. 1900.
