When deforestation actually leads to unsustainable development

Today’s Video of the Day comes from a new study by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and features a look at how in some places, deforestation leads to unsustainable development. While the removal of forest does provide some benefits, like timber resources and employment, it may not be worth it. These forests also provide water and climate regulation crucial to the economies of certain tropical countries.
