More than 20 percent of all deaths linked to poor diet

04-12-2019

Today’s Video of the Day from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) discusses the results of a study which found that a poor diet contributes to more than 20 percent of deaths worldwide.

According to The Lancet Editor Richard Horton, this is the equivalent of 11 million preventable deaths each year.

Heart disease, cancer, and diabetes are the leading causes of death associated with an unbalanced diet.
