Using virtual reality to motivate environmental action

12-12-2018

Today’s Video of the Day from Stanford University describes how virtual reality can be used to raise awareness about the harmful effects of ocean acidification.

“I believe virtual reality is a powerful tool that can help the environment in so many ways,” said study co-author Professor Jeremy Bailenson. “Changing the right minds can have a huge impact.”

The experts hope that exposure to a virtual underwater experience will not only educate people about ocean acidification, but will also motivate them to do something about it.
