Description

Phaloe cruenta is a moth of the subfamily Arctiinae. It is found in South America, including Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia and Uruguay. The larvae have been recorded feeding on Eupatorium inulaefolium, Artemisa absynthium, Heliothropium tiaridoides and Tournefortia brachiata.
