Description

Eriocrania semipurpurella is a moth of the family Eriocraniidae. It is found from Europe to Japan and in North America. The species closely resembles Eriocrania sangii. The wingspan is 10–16 mm. The moth flies from March to April depending on the location. The larvae feed on birch.
