Description

Zygaena cynarae is a species of moth in the Zygaenidae family. It is found from France east to Russia. The wingspan is about 30–31 mm. Adults are on wing from mid May to July. The larvae feed on Peucedanum species, including Peucedanum cervaria. Part of the larvae overwinter multiple times. Full-grown larvae can be found from April to the beginning of June.
